Let’s move on to a different topic that I’ve not covered yet in any of my posts…Kids’ books!!

As an Aunt, I have certain books that I don’t mind reading to my kiddos over and over again, and there are some that I wish would just disappear…but let’s not go there!

Here are some of my top favorite kids’ books…

Good-night iPad (Amazon Link for book)

This is a 21st-century version of Good-night moon. And it is absolutely hilarious, all the modern references and technology, it’s fun to read to the kiddos, but also a fun adult read as well. So, it’s a win-win.

The Book with no Pictures (Amazon link)

This book stretches the imagination of both the reader and the listener, this book has no pictures.

Just words, but, the catch is, you have to read everything the book has to say…even if it’s singing in gibberish.

One Morning in Maine (Amazon link)

Robert McCloskey is my mom’s favorite author; she read to me all his books growing up. He writes such cute books. Including, Make Way for Ducklings, Blueberries for Sal, and Time of Wonder.

This book is about a little girl named Sal, who lives with her family on an Island in Maine. And her adventures living on the island; like digging for clams, going to Buck’s Harbor in her Dad’s boat with her baby sister, and discovering her first loose tooth.

It’s a super cute book, with pencil drawings, simple and fanciful story of a day in the life of a little girl growing up in Maine.

Dr. Seuss ABC’s (Amazon link)

I grew up on Dr. Seuss; I remember both my mom and my brothers reading Dr. Seuss’ books to me.

One of the many things I love about his books is the creativity; only Seuss can create such unique and fun characters and animals.

And this book covers all of them from A-Z.

Star Wars 123 (Amazon Link)

Star Wars ABC (Amazon link)

My nieces love these books. They are fun Star Wars books for kids, covering the ABC’s of Star Wars characters and events, and OBI-123 is a fun counting book using the same as the ABC book.

Though, while it’s a fun kid’s book, it’s fun for an adult too.

Music of my Heart

Where Words fail, Music Speaks.

This is one of my favorite quotes because it is so true! When we have no words, music has a way of speaking for us.

These are some of my go-to albums for any situation.

One voice, amazing songs
My all-time favorite music artists
Honest Christian music, with a solid message
A classic by Michael W. Smith

Hope you enjoyed today’s random post!!
